First Aid Stations
To avoid overburdening EMS system resources, First Aid Sations are frequently established at small or large gatherings of people such as parades, conventions, and sporting events. Stations are staffed with personnel who know how to respond to victims of injury or sudden illness before the arrival of EMS personnel and to provide competent and immediate care for injuries and sudden illnesses.
Request . . . Interested businesses, organizations or groups should complete a formal request for participation 3-4 weeks in advance. In addition to basic information on the reqesting organization and contact person, we'll need to know the name and/or theme of the event, the location, expected attendance and a history of previous injures suffered.
A formal response will be made no later than 1 week from the date recieved. If accepted an FAS Coordinator will consult with the contact person to ensure proper preparation.

Sponsors . . . Sponsors are needed to help offset the costs of materials, emergency equipment (AEDs, Oxygen tanks, etc.) and the appropriate insurance coverage. Sponsoring provides an excellent way for local businesses to show their support for the American Red Cross, as well as their involvement in the community.
Fees . . . In lieu of corporate sponsors, the standard fee for small to mid-sized events (less than 500ppl) is $25 per hour. We will provide a team of 2-5 people for up to 4 hours.
For larger / longer events additional fees may be required.
